As a completely new UK-wide initiative, HDRS set out to change how approved researchers access health data securely, helping speed up medical discoveries that improve lives. That meant creating a brand able to balance technical credibility with public trust, and to unite a wide range of stakeholders across government, healthcare, research and all four UK nations from a standing start.
We led HDRS's brand and digital identity from the ground up, starting with stakeholder interviews and workshops that shaped a strategy tailored to the service's mission. From there we built a full visual and verbal identity designed to signal innovation and trust in equal measure, then designed and delivered a new public-facing website and supporting communications collateral. Every piece was built to make a technical subject clearer and more human, for expert and lay audiences alike.
The new brand and website laid the foundations for HDRS to be recognised nationally as a trusted facilitator of health data access. Stakeholders across government, healthcare and research now have a clearer, more confident way to engage with the service, and HDRS launched positioned as both innovative and publicly accountable.
